| James Hunt Driver • Club Series James has been surrounded by cars since birth as his father and brother both raced. He is no stranger to competition at the highest levels and understands the preparation needed to win championships. His racing career began at the age of 14, with Downhill Mountain Bikes, which yielded two National Championships in the National Off Road Biking Association. The move to cars came at 16, which marked the beginning of James's intense driver training. This training quickly grew into what is today, competitive racing, instructing and coaching. His favorite car is anyone that he can race. When not racing, James can be found coaching drivers all across the country, at BMW North America, or, when the weather is right, on the slopes. He also enjoys spending time with family, including his father, two brothers, and one sister. James enjoys intellectual endeavors, and is a connoisseur of the TRUE Philadelphia Cheesesteak. 2009 Competed with Prey Racing in the Grand Am KONI Sports Car Challenge Series co-driving a Porsche Boxster in the ST Class 15th place out of 22 with multiple mechanical issues Competed in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Series driving a Ford FR500S Mustang Ninth Place, won the “BF Goodrich Take Control Award” for the most passes made for position during the race 2008 Competed in the SCCA 13 Hours of VIR endurance race driving an Acura Integra Second Place in Class Competing with APR Motorsport in the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series co-driving a VW GTI in the ST Class 21st, due to retiring from race prematurely Running 10th, finished 33rd due to retiring from race prematurely 17th place out of 48 Competed with Team Cobalt California in the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series co-driving a Chevy Cobalt in the ST Class, James's first professional race 22nd out of 50 2007 SPEED TV's "Setup" Season 2 ("Setup" is SPEED's reality TV show aimed at finding the next up-and-coming race car driver that aired on Speed TV during February and March.
