Two Camaros and Two BMWs to Take Green Flag
Elkhart Lake, WI (June 22, 2012) – The four Mitchum Motorsports GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race cars are qualified and ready for tonight’s race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. The green flag drops for the 2.5 hour race at 6:15 pm CDT.
George Richardson, who co-drives the #62 GS class Camaro with Joey Atterbury, qualified 15th and Tim Bell qualified the #6 car 18th. Bell will be sharing the driving duties in the Camaro with Gunter Schaldach.
Mitchum’s ST class BMWs also qualified for this evenings race – Todd Harris shares the #63 with Johnny Kanavas and will start 23rd. Kevin Gleason will start 25th and turn the #60 car over to Robert Stout to finish the race.
“The crew and drivers have been working hard at getting the cars ready for tonight’s race. Our qualifying wasn’t spectacular but we will have a good race pace. Our cars have been good on the long tires runs all week,” said team principal Chris Mitchum. “It’s a long race so we’ll have plenty of laps to move up through the 60 car field”.
